It's not just Children's Centres that are at risk from the Tories.

Gains for pensioners under a Labour Government like Winter Fuel Payments and free bus passes are at risk from Tory spending plans.

It would be a disgrace if some of the most vulnerable people in society were left to struggle with their heating bills during winter because their Payment has been cut.

And hard-working families need to know that the National Minimum Wage, child benefit and tax credits will continue to give them the financial support they need.

I want a guarantee from the Tories that they would not cut these vital sources of income for people in Bolton.

School building scheme at risk from the Tories

The Labour Government has pledged to rebuild or refurbish every secondary school in the North West, including here in Bolton.

But the Tories want to cut £4.5 billion from the Building Schools for the Future programme.

This puts at risk one in seven future school building projects and if the Tories got their way at least 45 North West school rebuilding projects wouldn't happen.
